How to Use the Cameron Cookware Stainless Steel Stove Top Smoker

!±8± How to Use the Cameron Cookware Stainless Steel Stove Top Smoker

As winter turns to spring, thoughts of barbecues and outdoor cooking begins to dance in the minds of many. Creating smoked meats and fish are a favorite taste tradition for generations. Smoking is the technique used to slowly heat the desired meat over several hours using smoke generated from wood chips to create a unique flavor that penetrates the meat.

The type of wood used in the smoker defines the taste of the meat being cooked. The most common wood chip flavors used are hickory, mesquite and oak. Some will keep with the standard wood chips for their recipes, while others will actually mix a variety of wood chips to create even more unique flavor combinations.

When people think about smokers, most people envision large box like units standing outside in the backyard for hours chugging away on their favorite rack of ribs or roast. But what if you live in an apartment or decide a large smoker is overkill for you but you still want to enjoy the smoked meat meals? For these individuals, the Cameron cookware stainless steel stove top smoker is the best suited to meet their needs.

Being constructed of heavy-gauge stainless steel, this stove top smoker is durable and large enough to smoke a ham, fish fillet or large turkey breast. It has a sliding lid that seals the food and smoke flavor tightly inside the unit to keep your kitchen free of smokey odors.

The Cameron cookware stainless steel stove top smoker can be used over electric cook tops or open flame gas burners. To cook a great smoked meal, follow the steps below:

Select the desired wood chips and add a layer to the bottom of the smoker Season meat with desired spices and sauce mixture Place seasoned meat on inside grill Slide lid so the compartment is tightly sealed Place over low heat for desired time - Most dishes cook within 25 minutes. Larger chickens or Roasts take about an hour and a half.

Remove smoker from heat source and gently slide the lid to expose the cooked meat and serve. You will find the taste to be very flavorful and moist. You can even smoke vegetables like asparagus, brussel sprouts or squash along with the meats as a compliment to the dish. You will have a great time coming up with new ways to use your new smoker, and your menus will never be the same.

Cuisinart DGB-650BC Review

!±8± Cuisinart DGB-650BC Review

The Cuisinart DGB-650BC is a grind and brew coffee maker that offers a little extra in terms of design and durability. Cuisinart have been around since 1973 and even though they originally dominated the food processor niche they are now a giant corporation that has started to gain a pretty big share of the coffee market too.

Like almost all other products from their brand the Cuisinart DGB-650BC is a "high tech" piece of equipment with a lot of cool features and extras. These features include things like being 24 hour fully programmable, pause and serve and an automatic shut off function for extra piece of mind.

Let's take a little more detailed look into some of these specifications and then move onto the reviews.

Cuisinart DGB-650BC Grind-and-Brew Thermal 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker Features and Specifications

24 hour fully programmable feature. This is great if you want to have coffee ready as soon as you wake up or if you want to have a "dessert" coffee ready for after lunch/dinner. The pause and serve function is great for times when you want a quick cup of coffee and don't want to wait for the whole batch to be ready. The cool thing is that this unit has a 1-4 cup setting so you don't lose any flavor when you brew smaller amounts. The large control panel makes navigation really easy and with just a quick look at the manual you will know exactly how to operate the Cuisinart DGB-650BC. A 10 cup stainless steel carafe is also included. It comes with an ergonomic handle that stays cool and a drip free pouring spout. This is great as you can keep your coffee warm for several hours and still have that "fresh" taste.

Cuisinart DGB-650BC Grind-and-Brew Thermal 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker Reviews

This unithas over 120 reviews online and the around 80% of these reviews are really positive.

People comment on how sturdy and durable this product is and several consumers have had their Cuisinart DGB-650BC for over 4 years without any problems.

The biggest problem some people seem to have with this model is that they don't feel the coffee is hot enough when freshly brewed. So if you like your coffee scorching hot, it might be a better idea to go for one of the other coffee machines we have reviewed here on our site.

There are loads of positive comments about the Cuisinart DGB-650BC, but there are a couple of points that are repeated throughout. First of all people really like the coffee this grind and brew machine makes, they say that the taste is rich and full.

The next comment that was repeated several times was the fact that this unit is very well priced when considering all the features and extras it offers.

Overall the majority of people give this unit top ratings and the only negative seems to be the fact that some people don't feel the coffee is warm enough.

If you want a high quality product that will last for many years to come and don't need blazing hot coffee every single time, the Cuisinart DGB-650BCis highly recommended.

Coconut Almond Mocha Macaroons Recipe

!±8± Coconut Almond Mocha Macaroons Recipe

Passover macaroons are a favorite for many who have a sweet tooth. For this celebration of harvest season, I have to find a new recipe. If you express love and also love coconuts and almonds, then you should try this recipe. It is a treat for all those who love coconut, but we just a little spice 'from a small taste of sweet coconut expressed. This mini-cafe, and coconut macaroons melt on the tongue, andare made with just a few ingredients. These will take some time so you may want to make these in advance.

Coconut Almond Mocha Macaroons:

1/2 cup honey

1/4 Teaspoon of vanilla bean paste

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 Tablespoon instant powdered coffee or espresso

2 1/2 Cups shredded, sweetened coconut

1 Cup of ground almonds

3/4 Cup matzo cake meal

2 Egg whites

1 Bag of Chocolate covered coffee espresso beans, from your local store or Starbucks has them.

First things first you will line a baking tray with non stick baking parchment paper. You will finely grind the 1 cup of almonds in short bursts in a food processor until they form a fine meal and set aside until ready for them. In a small saucepan you will combine the honey, cocoa powder and coffee powder while cooking and stirring over a low to medium heat until powders are dissolved and mixture is smooth. You will remove from the heat and let cool about 10 to 15 minutes.

While the cocoa mixture is cooling you will place the egg whites in a bowl, and whisk until they form stiff peaks, when they start to get stiff you will start to gradually add the sugar, and you will continue whisking until it forms a thick and shiny or glossy meringue.

You will then stir in the coconut, matzo cake meal, vanilla bean paste, and ground almonds into the somewhat cooled espresso mix, and stir for about 30 seconds or so. You will then start to combine the glossy egg whites in thirds until well-folded in. When ingredients are well mixed you will spoon out about one tablespoon of the mixture and roll into a ball. You will place the macaroon balls on the parchment-lined baking sheet. You will continue to repeat with remaining dough, placing the macaroon balls about one inch apart. You will press one of the coffee beans into the middle of each macaroon ball.

You will then bake at 300F for 15 - 20 minutes, or until firm. You will then remove the baking sheet from oven, and remove with a spatula from the parchment covered baking sheet and cool on wire baking/cooling racks for about 20-30 minutes. Once cool you will remove the macaroons from the

wire cooling racks and store in airtight container for about 4-6 hours to make sure they are good and set. I hope that you enjoy this recipe.
